NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon & Half MArathon
Since 2011, NYCRUNS has been producing the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon, our flagship event. Until 2018, it has been held entirely in Prospect Park, capped at 500 participants, and sold out annually. Over the years, Brooklyn has won the Travlete Marathon Of The Year Award, been recognized in Runner's World and reviewed wll on Marathon Guide and elsewhere. Over time, we started calling Brooklyn the Best Little Big City Race In America and it truly has been a wonderful bucolic race in years past.
That said, we couldn't be any more thrilled that in 2018, the race is on the streets of Brooklyn, and that in addition to 1000 marathoners, thousands of half marathoners will hit the streets this October. We've got a great race in the works starting with a the City Point Expo and ending with a great finish line festival in Prospect Park.
Our goal now is to take this great event and turn it into one of the country's biggest and best marathons, befitting and benefiting our hometown in ways we haven't even though of and ways that are plain as day. We're looking forward to doing something good for you, good for others, and good for Brooklyn. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and we're well on our way.
In 2018, NYCRUNS will produce several dozen running races for 500 – 12,500 people. Whether large or small, our goal is to provide runners with the best possible experience from the moment they register until the moment they see their free finisher photos.
NYCRUNS races are accurately measured, electronically timed, supported by a world-class medical group, and staffed by a highly trained team. Our post-race festivals feature fresh New York bagels (with a shmear of course – this is New York), fresh fruit, and a great DJ. Our events are fun, vibrant, not overcrowded, and all about showing you a great time.
Simply put, week in and week out, our goal is to put on the best races in New York City.
We can’t wait to see you cross our finish line!
